informacja wydawcy:

The work of Polish cryptologists and the existence of clones of the Enigma machines in Vichy France still remains very little known. So it is worthwhile to present a brief evaluation of what the Polish team achieved for the French, Polish and the remaining Allied secret services between October 1940 and November 1942. Their stay at P.C. Cadix near Uzès (close to the famous Pont du Gard), was not only dramatic but also very productive, with plenty of valuable breaks into German, Russian, and even Swiss codes.
Seventeen Polish cryptologists, radio intelligence officers and technicians were formally subordinated to the Bureau des Menées Antinationales – II of the Vichy intelligence. However, as the secret Station 300 of the Second Bureau of the Polish General Staff in London, in touch with the famous net “F-2”, they played a vital role for the Polish and Allied intelligence services.
